Units refer to enzyme activity defined by the amounts of substrate that a unit of specific enzyme will break down per unit of time according to the United States Pharmacopoeia and the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC).
The enzyme preparations are derived from non-animal sources and do not contain artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners, preservatives, chemical additives, wheat, yeast, or animal derivatives.

Enzymes are chemical catalysts. This means that they help a chemical reaction occur but are not reactants or products themselves. They participate in chemical reactions but are not changed  by the reactions. Enzymes are vital to body chemistry. No reaction in the body occurs fast enough unless the specific enzyme needed for that reaction are present.

The enzymes in Actizyme are carefully prepared to ensure the maximum possible activity. This is achieved through strict quality control procedures including raw material assays to verify activity. The enzymes are pharmaceutical grade and contain no mycotoxins, fungi or other contaminants and no magnesium stearate has been used during processing.

The enzymes used are derived from non-animal sources and are blended to remain active throughout a broad pH range. (pH 2-12) This means they retain their activity in the acid conditions of the upper and the more alkaline conditions of the lower gastrointestinal tract.

Another consideration in choosing the right blend of enzymes is to utilize enzymes that are active at body temperature (37°C). This is an important but often overlooked factor in enzyme preparations. For example, a protease may have an activity of 60,000 units but only at a temperature of 25°C. At 37°C (body temperature), the same enzyme may only have an activity of 2,000 units, if any at all. The units used to describe the activity of enzymes in Actizyme have been normalized to show their exact activity at 37°C, human body temperature.

Organs affected: stomach, intestines

Actizyme helps: Steatorrhea, Maldigestion, Malabsorption, to combat food Allergies, reduce flatulence, Lactose intolerance, constipation, chronic autoimmune disorder, digestive enzyme insufficiency,  improve nutrients absorbability, aid digestion in the stomach and the intestines, alleviates G.I. stress due to poor dietary habits.

Minimizes:
  • Formation of toxins in GI tract
  • Food allergies
  • Lactose intolerance
  • Constipation Acute and Chronic I
